When someone says “Startup”
The first thing that often comes to mind is a tech company that is currently attempting to raise a million pounds with maybe no real idea how they’ll monetise their product beyond “we will eventually”.
But really, a startup is any new business. We’ve worked with a great range of startups including a seaweed company, a couple of new restaurants, a takeaway, a photography & art studio, and a couple of top secret ones that are launching soon.
Lots of people provide accounting support for startups, and so do we - but we take a slightly different approach. We work with you to identify what your requirements are now, as well as planning what you’ll need in six months or a year’s time.
For example, we worked with a soon-to-launch drinks producer who don’t need a full multi-product MRP system yet, but will do when they increase their range and number of staff members. Then we worked backwards to ensure they were following simple processes now that will make the transition smooth when it’s time.
We sourced an EPOS system for a new bar that only has one location currently, but is planning a second, so required a multi-site system for future use.
And we worked with a local transport startup to identify the staff positions they’ll need in two or four years’ time, that don’t exist yet, so they can plan their recruitment ahead as the business grows.
